There once was a motel that doubled as a disco where nobody slept and everyone smiled.
All of Los Angeles clamored to confirm a coveted stay which came with a promise of the greatest Disco deejays playing through the night, surrounded by acrobats and artists alike.
A disco ball bore light upon guests, commanding praise and facilitating miracles. Angels and hedonists danced hand in hand in a service of synchronization, cleansed of sin.
Until one day, the music stopped and the lights flickered off. The community was distraught– legends were passed down about what had transpired. “The owner was an alien- drawn back to a sequined planet!” “Just another cash grab- some tycoon bought it out.” Or maybe, the times had changed and something so pure was no longer deserved.
But then, years later, the lights mysteriously flickered back on: “Vacancy. One Night Only.” On March 25th, Motel Disco will open its doors one last time.
