With Los Angeles’ restaurants opening back up for the first time in over a year, The K is ecstatic to get out of the house and support some of our favorite restaurants!

And so, this Monday marks the launch of a brand new “K Recommends” series in which we will partner with our favorite restaurants across LA and give you the opportunity to indulge in their delicacies at no cost!

For our first recommendation and partnership, we are ecstatic to showcase Broad Street Oyster Co and their sister establishment, Joules and Watts Coffee.

Christopher Tompkins, founder of Broad Street, started exploring Los Angeles’ seafood circuit just after moving here from New York. Tompkins has since gained recognition as Malibu’s master of New England style sea food with meals that consistently prove to feature the freshest ingredients and fresh takes on classics.

Joules and Watts Coffee sits next door where co-owner Max Gualtieri specializes in micro-roasting fresh coffee and dishing out scoops of Nancy Silverton’s highly coveted gelato. Impeccably located, nothing hits quite like this combo after a salty shellfish feast.

Crafted by the owner of Pizzeria Mozza, Osteria Mozza, and chi SPACCA, Silverton’s gelato is one of the best frozen treats LA has to offer.
