: a science that deals with forces and their effect on bodies
And was it wrong to loathe
the almost dead thing of my body?
The sex still dormant within
that keeps me looking hideously alive.
Twitchy limbs like dung beetles,
I am all mechanical and exoskeleton.
Tonight, I am confusing
this intercourse with assassination. Mortally
conductive, all the same. My bleeding is still
bleeding no matter how you get to it.
Bleeding is still the metalloid
Messiah of my every mouth reciting
and reproducing a history of preparation,
a foolish and hardly promising theory of rescue.
Tell me a different history.
One free of this indole. My science suggests that
girls who look almost
alive have long survived the practice of kneeling.
What kind of good human- girl would I be if not milking
my veins for the womb of another
domestic creature, acting as the droid of mommy
and calling it playing God.
