The Breakdown
- Oklou – Fall
There is something so pleasing about this track, the sounds, the melodies are so well crafted. Super dreamy.
2. Adam Melchor – Jewel
Perfect track to slowly wake up in the morning, something about the ambiance in the background, the guitar and the super intimate vocals feels very warming.
3. Bibio – À tout à l’heure
This was my introduction to Bibio and It still is one my favourite tracks of his. Such a nice easy vibe. The melodies are so catchy and light and the sounds are distant and so nostalgic, making you feel like a long forgotten summer in your childhood.
4. Bon Iver – 8 (circle)
This is the first track that really got me into Bon Iver. One summer night in 2018 I was camping and I couldn’t sleep then this track came on. It was one of those moments where It just fitted the moment perfectly and It hit me differently than before. Then I got into the rest of the Bon Iver albums.
5. Daphni – Life’s What You Make It
Daphni/Caribou is such a creative and inspiring artist. This one track really showcases that in a beautiful way. It’s light, melancholic but also dancy.
6. George Clanton – Bleed
It’s all about the anticipation to get to the climax @ 02:20. Makes me feel like I’m in 1985 hoovering the Grand Canyon in a spaceship.
7. The 1975 – Frail State Of Mind
Love the vibe on this one, something reminiscent of the 90’s.
8. Geotic – Actually Smiling
It was such a refreshing vibe when I first heard that track. I must have played it 20 times in a row.
9. Unknown Mortal Orchestra – Hunnybee
I love UMO, this one track manages to mix intriguing and weird chord progression and feel good vibe but still feel upbeat.
10. Chiiild – Gone
I feel lucky to call these guys my friend, they truly created something special on this album. A breeze to listen to. The guitars and vocals make for a perfect morning soundtrack.
11. Domenique Dumont – Sans cesse, mon chéri
I love how dreamy this one is, makes me want to hang out at the beach.
12. K-Lone – In The Pines
This one is so relaxing but also intriguing. Those marimba sounds and the way those chords hit, I can listen to this one many times on repeat.
