Covers are often swept under the rug and discarded as wannabes, needing as much attention as their originals. However, sometimes covers can completely overshadow their sources. Twist & Shout was a huge hit by the Beatles. Who knew it was a cover except for those die hard Beatles fans? Now I’m not saying any of these will be as groundbreaking as Twist & Shout but they are definitely worth a listen.
KiD CuDi, MGMT, and Radiohead seem to be some of the more popular artists to cover these days. Where Ellie Goulding and PJ Simas seem to do most of the covering. Whether a cover is amazing or only okay, there’s no doubt each one adds a refreshing twist to the songs we love. Here are our top ten.
