Here in Los Angeles, we have yet to recover from this ongoing heatwave. 100 degree weekend-long weather means only one thing– it’s time to whip out the blended drink recipes. Of course, when it’s this freaking spicy outside, you need a drink to match it.
We present to you The K’s homemade Blended Mezcal Margarita.

The K’s Blended Mezcal Margarita
Ingredients:
- 4 oz Lime Juice
- 1 oz Agave
- 1 oz Tequila
- 1 oz Mezcal
- 2 Handfuls of Ice
- 1 Lime
- Tajin
- Salt
Preparation:
Step 1: Measure out your mezcal (our new personal favorite is the Casamigos Mezcal) & Tequila of choice and add to the blender. Add the lime juice, agave and ice (you can make slight adjustments to your liking). Blend ingredients together for a full minute. If you’re feeling EXTRA spicy, cut up some fresh jalapeños and toss them in there.
Step 2: Now it’s time to fight the heat with the heat. This is the crucial step to making your mezcal marg borderline medicinal. Using a small saucer dish, slightly larger than the circumference of your preferred margarita glass, pour out Tajin and salt and mix ‘em together. The ratio should be ⅔ Tejine to ⅓ salt. Use a lime wedge to moisten the rim of the glass before flipping it over and rubbing the rim in the tajin-salt mixture.
Step 3: Pour blended Mezcal into your Tajin-salted glass and add a lime wheel to the rim for aesthetic.

Once you have your drink in hand, step outside and watch the sun shine a bit less bright in your presence. Because you just killed it. Enjoy responsibly!
