The Endless Summer EP – G-Eazy

The Endless Summer EP – G-Eazy

Just a few months after the release of The Outsider, Mr. Gerald has released his latest and greatest highly anticipated EP The Endless Summer. The entire album has a strict concept of 50s/60s vintage styling, but maintains true to G’s signature flow as a New Orleans/Bay Area-influenced artist. It’s crucial in this industry to have an instantly recognizable sound, and I affirmatively believe G-Eazy comes across unlike any other emcee in the upcoming scene. He’s been hard at work for quite a while, producing about 90% of his own beats, touring and perfecting his original craft. This latest EP is something to be reckond with, along with the stunning new video for fan favorite, “Runaround Sue”. With quality vocals courtesy of Greg Banks, Devon Baldwin and Erika Flowers and some guest emcee appearances from some Kollection regulars (Skizzy Mars, Sonny Shotz), there is something for everyone here. Kollect on!

“Two Weeks” is a great track to sample, but I actually prefer G’s version more, it just has less drum action than Oncue’s. But hey!

Easily on of the best mixtapes this year. Fresh take with the samples, and he killed about all of his verses. Plus, it’s easy to listen to and his flow is ridiculous. solid post
