I must say that I cringed a little when I saw the word ‘trapstyle’ associated with a Shins song but I think this remix was really well done. Slink has taken one of my all time favorite songs from The Shins, added rich melody and atmosphere, a classic hip-hop drum beat and even did some vocal chopping to create a remix that any music enthusiast should be able to appreciate. I wish artists would offer people without Facebook accounts an alternative method to download these sorts of releases. And yes, there are people without Facebook accounts, haha. That said, this is a gorgeous remix. Neat to see the trap style used less aggressively than usual. Thanks for the post!
Yeah I agree it is annoying but they’re just trying to grow their fan base.

Oh, I understand completely why they do it. It’s just frustrating because SO many artists I like do that, and I wish they’d think about those of us who aren’t on there(and have no interest in being on there) and maybe throw the stuff on Bandcamp too or something. I don’t know. Maybe I should just cave and create an account strictly for downloading music, haha.
