The first few moments of this track demonstrate just how high Sonny & the rest of The Dean’s List have risen since the beginning of their journey. Bonobo creates some great instrumentals, but I was worried this track was going to be as dark and dreary as Sonny’s last Bonobo remix. “Never Good” features some dark lyrics, but at 1:00, you know this is a steadier, friendlier beat than before. Hey, at least Sonny pulls influences from a lot of cool music genres.These side projects courtesy of Sonny are intriguing, but what we all can’t wait for is Generation X, coming this Fall.

I really love both Bonobo remixes. I love Bonobo, and Sonny. And the fact that Sonny rapped over some of Bonobo’s songs is awesome! I honestly want him to do a full tape of Bonobo remixes. And I can’t wait for Generation X!
