After two years, the newest mixtape from mashup artist Milkman has arrived: Algorithms.
We’ve already enjoyed Let’s Go and the original electro hit Breaking Free – two definite front runners. The rest of the album showcases Milkman’s rumored last work before segmenting off into more original house production.

My slight annoyance with mashups has surfaced before – a bunch of top-40 songs thrown together is usually my worst nightmare. But of course part of the mashup game is to integrate popular radio hits of the moment so that even the most casual music listeners can appreciate them. However, he incorporates these hits with great artistry, sophisticatedly melding them together with older, classic songs. These high-energy mixes flow smoothly and actually shine new light on every single track featured.

Thankfully, Milkman usually neglects to recycle those typical songs that have been “mashed up” one too many times. If you are a mashup fan, you’ll definitely get your fix with these key tracks.
