Just when you thought the fax machine was outdated…
Mysterious chameleon-disguised DJ,  Y-DAPT, unveils another massive and innovative tune from his 4 part Back and Forth Series on Sushi Records. “Machine Routine”  brings new life to the robotic voice of an old fax machine, turning the systematic sounds into an incredibly funky tech-house cyborg.

The record immediately builds up into a dance floor hit with a simplistic but funky bassline, flawlessly blending the electronic sounds and phrases of the machine into the mix. The four-on-the-floor kick drum moves your feet while Y-DAPT implements retro stabs, electronic blips, and percussive hi-hats. These little pieces of ear-candy continue as the track spirals into a breakbeat malfunction section with heavy-hitting drums, 808s, and descending rave synths.

“Machine Routine” proves to be another futuristic tune that displays the incredible talent of Y-DAPT and we are so excited to be premiering it. His sound is incredibly vibrant and colorful, yet fabulously complex and intricate. With elements of electro, house, and break, Y-DAPT’s “Back and Forth Series” is shaping up to be quite the sonic journey. For listeners enticed by the heat of the first three tracks, be on the lookout for the fourth and final installment of the series, “Nightlapse”, set to release September 6th!
