Britain’s George Lenton is a relatively unknown producer who surprises us with his remix of Gotye’s “Eyes Wide Open”. Although the remix is nearly 2 years old, it’s a hidden-gem-of-a-record which sounds as if it were released yesterday. The only pitfall is a harsh-sounding percussion section about a minute in, which I thought disturbed the flow a bit. Otherwise, this is an excellent smooth Dub rendition of Gotye’s lesser-known track with some sleek instrumentation. Kollect the download, and turn off “Somebody That I Used to Know”!
