I first got a taste of Mind Your Manners almost 10 months ago when we posted it here on The Kollection. Since then, Chiddy Bang has released a couple semi-official music videos, but today, we get the real deal. The new video is fun and creative, showcasing the track while still highlighting the personalities of Chiddy and Xaphoon. Peep this one below and buy Breakfast on iTunes.
Eddy B & Tim Gunter saw an amazing response from blogs and fans following their release of the single, “Tomorrow,” a few weeks ago. Because of the hype that surrounded the track, they decided to hook the fans up with a video for our viewing pleasure!
The song is a heartfelt one from the duo that explains the struggles and hardships that Eddy experienced growing up in the hood. It hasn’t been an easy journey thus far, but the team is taking big steps towards become household names in the music industry. Props, as always, to Tim for creating a beat that fits perfectly with the tone of the song to create something somber, yet intricate for Eddy to spit over.
B.o.B.’s infectious hit “So Good” falls prey to a remix by Mr. Stud and his favorite red-head songstress, Ms. Modell. Stud comes on strong on those verses (but doesn’t out-spit B.o.B.) but I especially appreciate Missy on the chorus; her easy vocal makes the hook extremely sing-along-friendly. This is definitely going on my Summer playlist, which is just beginning to form. Throw it on yours and Kollect on!
With summer around the corner, I know most of your are starting to blast Radical Something with the windows down. If not, start doing it. Today, the boys of Radical Something as well as the rest of the crew bring us a video for “You Feel Amazing,” a compilation of clips from the past 10 months of touring, recording, traveling, and everything in between. JOEBUSY, the very talented video producer that put this video together showcases the goofiness that is Radical Something. There are plenty of clips of Loggy jumping around, Josh Cocktails luscious locks flowing like Rapunzel’s, and DJ Big Red being ridiculous as usual. There are many surprises in store from Radical Something in the near future, so keep a lookout here on the K for some new material! Make sure to grab their most recent project, No Sweat, and check out their tour dates. It’s going to be a Radical Something Summer.
We haven’t featured these guys on here for a minute, and they are gracing us with their newest music video to one of my Top Tracks of 2011. Bay Area rap group Starting Six provides comedic relief as well as an insane party track in their newest video featuring Mann. (Buzzin’!) This video is the typical type we see from these guys; Drinking vodka and partying with girls, all the while instilling the party animal inside all of us. Check out this video and blast it when you go out tomorrow! (er, Friday.)
Here’s a new artist to The K who goes by Dillon Cooper. For a first track, I was pleasantly surprised with what Dillon brought to the table. With a flow that reminds me a little bit of Lupe and vocals that sound like Gambino (slightly higher pitched), I was instantly feeling “Shadows”. Lyrically, he’s still a little raw and needs some refinement but the appeal is there. Instrumental got too be a bit repetitive but still something that I could vibe to, and more importantly carried Dillon’s flow well. So as I take my first foray into the hip-hop genre (posting-wise) take a peek at the video, hit up the comments below with what you think, and download the track via Dillon’s Facebook page which can be found here.
