Fuck That (Imma Be Fine) – AudioDax + Video

It’s always a good sign for a song when I find myself singing along by the end, on the first listen. AudioDax dropped this one, along with an official music video, today as a free treat for their fans. I’ve been following AudioDax since the early, early days of The Kollection, and they truly have grown leaps and bounds, both in terms of production and vocal quality. Love the sung hook on this, the hypnotizing beat, and of course, the verses that come in and out in such a subtle and elegant way. I’ve listened to this about 5 times already, and it keeps growing on me. Don’t miss this – peep the video below and download for free!

Audiodax has become a favorite of mine. This track is a little different, with more singing and less rapping. but still a great song!

Know Her Name – Tarik + Video

Tarik just dropped the official video for Know Her Name, a noteworthy track off his latest tape, T.R.I.G.S.. Visuals from John Kilmer always kill it, and on top of this laid-back beat, Tarik shows a great performance. The song feels good, the lyrics tell a good story, and Tarik’s emotion is there in the video. Peep, download, listen, enjoy.

Happy Ending (Video) – Mike Stud

I am very impressed with Mike Stud’s latest work. Happy Ending, one of the more emotional tracks from A Toast To Tommy is something that we wouldn’t normally categorize under “frat rap.” Yet, this beautiful video directed by music video master Jon Kilmer is a chilling compilation about three people’s accounts of traumatizing experiences in their lives. The soft female vocals and piano add a powerful, yet subtle touch to the song. Definitely give this one a listen and try to watch the entire video without shedding a tear. Or five.

This song made me cry.. This describes my life in order, I am worried about losing my girl, thinking about old habits. Worried that if do go to the army i’ll end up like the end of this story.

Batteries ft. Trae The Truth – XV Video

Older track, new video. Love this older XV, despite the feature. The instrumental is original, beautiful, creepy…everything a dark XV track should have. Peep it below and grab the track if you missed it before!

        Young Sinatra III – Logic

Well isn’t this impressive. To bring me out of my Monday blues, Logic drops the video for Young Sinatra III (I’m sure it was done specifically for me). The track has a great beat, an old school feel, and even a little Charlie Sheen bleep in there at 2:06. The classic beat goes with Logic’s rapping style very well, it’s a bit undescribable, but I like it. The visuals aren’t anything special – rather simply done. The major highlight here is the track. Young Sinatra III shows off Logic’s lyrical depth and great delivery. He said he would release a download at some point, but for now, peep the video below.

The beat is originally from Freddie Gibbs – The Ghetto for those who are interested

The beat goes back further than that. It’s from a ’95 freestyle with Big L and Jay-Z.
