No F*cking Around (Kinetics & One Love Remix) – Rafter
Follow @thekollectionKinetics and One Love have been hibernating creating musical greatness that should be arriving very soon. To keep kollectors satisfied, they released a remix to a Rafters synth-pop song titled No F*cking Around. I truly love the way that the duo presents itself and creating tracks that are widely accepted, yet uniquely different. Their upcoming album Cross-Fading Back to Normal – as stated in the conclusion of this song – will include all original production from One Love. Kollect this track for free!
Letters to the Sky (LoBounce Dubstep Remix) – Civil Twilight
Follow @thekollectionWow. Sometimes in life, we are blessed with stunning productions that churn up a million emotions in a split second. Sometimes, these reworks happen to be those of already-heavenly original tracks. Civil Twilight, an alternative band that I project will soar in 2012 [their latest album, Holy Weather, out next month], had a gem with their older single “Letters to the Sky”. LoBounce brings this piano-driven anthem to an explosive level, but leaves intricate details and the original beauty of the piece in tact. This is tasteful dubstep done the right way.
I didn’t know this young ‘LoBounce‘ producer before, but he’s completely blown me away with this. Kollect on.

We Got It Wrong (Xaphoon Jones Remix) – St. Lucia
Follow @thekollectionThis Xaphoon remix dropped a couple days ago, a clever retake of St. Lucia’s We Got It Wrong. Xaphoon adds a funky, upbeat instrumental mix, topped off with beautiful vocals and clever instrumental switchups. This is a fun track, and for fans of Xaphoon, you’re in for a treat.

Youth – Foxes (Adventure Club Dubstep Remix)
Follow @thekollectionMy favorite Canadian Dubstep magicians create another smooth classic A.C. track just after dropping their originally produced “Do I See Color”. They shatter the bassline but keep a melodically beautiful quality throughout that throbs on with ease. A relatively-unknown British songstress, Foxes, is the female vocal of choice here, helping to build another elegant yet evocative dubstep piece. Grab for free above here on the K!
Oh… and get ready for Meet the Artist: The Kollection x Adventure Club. Coming soon.

Set Fire (3LAU Bootleg) – Michael Calfan ft. Adele
Follow @thekollection3LAU hit us up with this new bootleg earlier this weekend, and it’s about time you guys take a listen. I really think 3LAU did a better job taking on Michael Calfan’s original remix of Adele’s Set Fire to the Rain. He cleaned up the melody, made all the pitches sync up, and built an awesome remix that really drives. You can’t go wrong with some Adele either, making this bootleg a winner in my books.

Youth (Love Thy Brother Remix) – Daughter
Follow @thekollectionStarting just as the quietly-played acoustic original did, Montreal’s Love Thy Brother‘s “Lovestep” creation takes full advantage of the vulnerability in those female vocals. I don’t love the track until precisely 1:08, where bright synths swarm around in a still-delicate fashion. The 5 remaining minutes are pure magic, with acoustic intermissions and instrumental crescendos to retain passion and interest.
Thank goodness these guys pay tribute to Daughter’s beautiful lyrics in the middle of the track: “we are the reckless, we are the wild youth / chasing visions of our futures / one day we will reveal the truth / that one will die before he gets there / if you’re still bleeding, you’re the lucky one / cause most of our feelings, they are dead, they are gone.” And the Brother explosion continues…Kollect on.

Ass Back Home (Brenton Duvall Remix) – Gym Class Heroes Ft. Neon Hitch
Follow @thekollectionBrenton just dropped off his latest remix, which he apparently created on a whim one morning [according to his blog]. You wouldn’t be able to tell, considering the high production value he displays. Taking the Gym Class verses and Hitch’s female vocals from their latest hit, Brenton creates a softer, more romantically dreamy concoction out of Pantyraid’s “Get the Money” for the instrumental. I love this completely new vibe – Mr. Duvall always seems to flip tracks in just the right way. Kollect this up now!
Kind of strange how Brenton doesn’t have more Facebook fans – show this talented producer and Kollection regular some love on his page.

Bubble ft. Scienze – M.i
Follow @thekollectionHere’s a recent remix from M.i, a drop off his upcoming tape, The Coldplay Sessions. The production on this is fantastic, the beat laid-back and well remixed, and there’s so much subtlety to appreciate. We’ll keep you posted on new Coldplay Session tracks, you keep kollecting. Download is on the house.
