PDA – Frank Ocean

Our favorite R&B smooth vocalist let out this unreleased track a couple of days ago for our listening pleasure. Back from the Lonny Breaux days, this track titled “PDA” was a reference track which was used by The Backstreet Boys back in 2009. Yes, THOSE Backstreet Boys. Start off your Monday off with this easy-going track that will surely make you bust a move.

Believe In Me – Outasight

This beauty dropped on April 2nd, and I’m proud to be sharing it here on The Kollection. Believe In Me is a huge step forward for Outasight, a more mature sounding, beautiful, and thoughtful track. It’s pop, blended with soul, indie, electronic, and most importantly, that unique Outasight vocal sound. This one is available for free, a great present to the fans. Take a listen below and download this for your life playlist.

Mercy (feat. Big Sean, Pusha T & 2 Chainz) – Kanye West

Kanye West isn’t a rapper that puts out stuff on the regular, so when you do see his name on a new song you know it’s gonna be something good. With the help of his G.O.O.D Music soldiers, Kanye brings us a classic here with a dope beat with chopped and screwed vocals and random dudes babbling in the background (Kanye makes it work). Being the first single for G.O.O.D Music the album, I’ll go on record to say this has potential to be one of the best albums of the year.

By Surprise – Gemini Club

By Surprise, a two-month old single from a new artist on my radar, Gemini Club, has caught the attention of a lot of bloggers this week, and once you take a listen, I think you’ll understand why. The track is a beautiful instrumental electro-pop track featuring catchy lyrics and an infectious chorus, worthy of a listen to brighten your day. Towards the end, I even got a little taste of Skrillex’s Scary Monsters.

Gemini Club has an EP, Here We Sit, dropping on April 17th, we’ll keep it covered – you can preorder now for just $5.

      Tomorrow – Eddy B & Tim Gunter

Here’s the newest single from Eddy B & Tim Gunter, a duo I haven’t heard from in quite some time, Tomorrow. This is a deeper, more lyric-driven track that gives us insight into the artists’ personal lives. I love the instrumental – so melodic, subtle, and driven. Paired with a beautiful sung chorus, Tomorrow is one of my new favorites from the duo.

        California Lonely – PJ Simas

Here’s the newest piece of work from PJ Simas as he prepares for his next album. California Lonely is a melodic, vocal-focused track with a beautiful hook, sung by a mostly-shirtless Simas with a vocal feature from Zach Simas. I really enjoyed how the track changes pace, volume, and feeling so many times, creating a flowing track held together by a beautiful chorus. Take a peep and download this for free.
