More of an electro track, this remix is simply too good to not post here on The Kollection. I’ve been holding on to this track for a few days now, letting it soak in, and I hope you’ll enjoy this as much as I have.
I’m normally not a fan of Cudi remixes – he’s done an amazing enough job as it is – but this remix by KillaGraham takes one of Cudi’s most popular tracks and turns it into a heavy, grimy, bass-filled track, perfect for any party. Listen below, download, and enjoy!

Kollectors loved the last Closing Time remix we posted here on the K. Today, I bring you a much more laid back, lower-key version by T. Ryan. I think the lyrics are decent, admittedly they could use some work, but overall I thought that T. Ryan accomplished the goal of creating a relaxing track that doesn’t drown out the soothing instrumental. Take a listen below and let me know what you think!

I have been waiting for a great remix of “New Theory” to surface…Unsurprisingly, RAC (Remix Artist Collective) has done it, and I’m not disappointed. This was one of the tracks I had on repeat last summer during many long roadtrips – couldn’t get enough of the “chillwave” sound that seemed to pulse along in this piece (original song was featured on Washed Out’s debut EP Life of Leisure). RAC creates a generally more distinguished track than the original, including a lighter intro, sprinkled with chimes. They’ve slowed it down a bit, but it’s still excellent.
That is the RAC Remix – Never overdone, and never detracts from what made the original so great. Kollect this RAC remix below, and zone out.

Whole-Z has surprised me today by remixing one of his best mashups, Fix Your Deez. It’s rare for a mashup to ever be remixed, and I gotta admit, I’m loving the new version. He’s cleaned everything up, added in some new instrumentals, pushed some original production, and created a much more unique mashup – no more basic vocal/instrumental combos. Take a listen below and see which one is your favorite!

The Good Husbands are a group of dudes from Washington, just doing the music thing. I came across their music a while back, and I’ve waited for the perfect jam to post. Blast this as you’re walking to class (or in my case, biking), driving along random streets, or even cooking up some breakfast before you start your day. They’ve got a different sound and some great lyricism – this track is undoubtedly one of their best. The “Many the Miles” sample from Sara Bareilles is the perfect choice to set the tone for this positive song. I guarantee, you’re going to smile when you hear this one.
New York/Vancouver’s Smokey Robotic, comprised of Seer, Father Dude, Konrad & Illmind, are a group that spans many musical genres…a unique equation: pop + electronic + hip-hop + funky soul = Smokey’s futuristic sound. Their EP is slated for a March release, also entitled Outside The Lines. “Outside the Lines” is one of those tracks that I instantly liked from the first beat. “Seer” introduces the track with low-key rapping, while the high pitched, soul-infused Father Dude sings the chorus, creating an excellent contrast. The track just gets funkier as it goes along, but it’s never obnoxious. Smokey Robotic’s goal for first time listeners? To feel “uncontrollable twitching in the body, mind and heart.” I don’t think I could have put it better. Vibe to this new sound, here on the K for the first time.

BONUS: The group has this new Data Romance remix of their single featured on their official site. Worth a try, for a more electro-inspired track. Outside the Lines (Remix) – Download
