Hey Lady – Mike Posner(ft. Twista)

A slow, chill, laid back track from Posner and Twista, produced by Mike. Twista comes on at around 2:15 and speeds it up, a good contradiction to the beginning of the song. Grab this one and be on the lookout for The Layover, dropping in 5 days.

Solid track, someone needs to remix it to upbeat ASAP though. As fast as Twista is, it’s still not fast enough. ;)

The Suburbs (Cry Wolf Remix) – Mr. Little Jeans

So I first published one of my favorite tracks “The Suburbs” over at Indie sung by Miss “Mr.” Little Jeans – but here comes an amazing chillstep remix crafted by North Carolina’s producer/drummer duo Cry Wolf… and it hits hard. An already sensual, edgy track to begin with transforms with the grinding bass and pounding drum-line – making this Chillstep piece one not to miss. Kollect above!

This “chillstep” does not even match the tonality of the track. Trying to cram way too many Skrillex sfx into a track that shouldn’t have them. This song was already chill. This is just overkill.

Kinda Late – OnCue Ft. Mike Posner

The wait is ALMOST over. Here’s a quick drop off Cuey’s Can’t Wait project, dropping this Wednesday. Produced by 88-Keys, “Kinda Late” owns a slow-jam hiphop feel with a soulful beat and a third verse from the only nasal-y crooner I like, Mr. Mike Posner. This is a cool vibe, but just a small taste of one of the many styles featured on Can’t Wait. Kollect on.

Mike Posner dropped off the radar for a while and his comeback has failed to impress whatsoever. OnCue is a great artist but Posner’s desperate attempt to build up his rep back to where it once was is just sad

          Cotton Candy – Ravi Parikh

Here’s the second solo project from Ravi Parikh, half of the Sex Ray Vision duo I love so much. This track keeps his signature sound, but of course, doesn’t disappoint with some amazing builds, drops, and melodic development. I’m not sure when we will see any new Sex Ray Vision, but as long as we keep getting tunes like this from the guys, I’ll be happy. Take a listen and download for free!

            Blow Up – Sam Adams

Hm, Sam Adams dropping a new track? This is rare. I admit, I don’t like Sammy boy very much, I haven’t ever been a huge fan, and his electro remixes of the past year were not my cup of tea. But this…this isn’t bad, I’m surprised to find myself saying. It’s a Pixies sample, gone pop, but it works well. If you like Sam or not, there’s no denying that this is catchy as hell, and regardless of what Sam Adams does, it’s tracks like this that will keep him relevant, for the time being.

Not a fan of Sam Adams either but this song is alright. I wouldn’t go out of my way to listen to it, but I wouldn’t hit next if it came on.

              Old Enough – Intuition Video

Here’s a new artist on my radar, Intuition, getting me hooked on this incredible beat and awesome story. I love the video, I love the track – the visuals are calm and professional, with a fun story to tell and a good sense of humor. The track itself has a summer-time feel, which lets me escape the fact that we’re almost halfway through November. Take a peek, love it, and support Intuition on Facebook.
