There’s some truly awesome remixes on here, three of my favorites included in this track, but overall the tape features some great production and creative twists to popular tracks. With remixes of Avicii, J. Cole, Kay, Kanye, Jay Z, Asher Roth, Mr. Hudson and more, this tape has something for every genre of music you love. As promised a year ago, Gregg Luskin has dove into the world of original production – something that’s absolutely necessary to gain respect in an overly-saturated music world. Here is one track granted exclusively to Kollectors, off the just-released Fragments EP. I chose “Revelry” simply because I found it to be the most melodic, dare-I-say-it…’sassy’… track on the EP. It’s fluid, but those pounding horns were unexpected. The EP is short and sweet, and I hope we can hear more like “Revelry” from this upcoming artist.

      Man has this been a long time in the making. Mitch-Mash has been working on this EP for the past 6 months and the anticipation has certainly been building. In short, Mitch-Mash has been someone that really got me first interested in mashups when I first heard his “Level Up/Might Light You Better” track. After that, I couldn’t get enough of his unique sound. Finally, Indie Treats & Gangster Beats demonstrates the culmination of his hard work into making something that I think Kollectors will truly appreciate. The entire EP has a great flow to it that covers a wide musical range. Below are 3 of the 8 tracks from the EP but all are definitely worth taking a listen to. The EP folder includes the 8 tracks, a continuous mp3 of the entire EP, and a personal note from Mitch-Mash himself.

        You guys really have no idea how excited I am to share this mixtape with you. Luke Christopher is easily in my top five up and coming artists and his most recent project, Building Skies, absolutely blew me away. This mixtape showcases what a true musician is: an amazing lyricist, a beautiful singer, and the ability to rap over any instrumental. This tape was released yesterday, and after listening it non-stop since then, I think I have narrowed down to my three favorite songs from the tape, included in this post. Believe me, this was no easy feat because I truly enjoyed every single song on this project.

        There is no doubt in my mind that Luke Christopher will be a household name within a year or two, because this kid is exploding with talent, enthusiasm and a true love for music. Some of you might be familiar with Christopher’s previous feature here on The K when he did a song with Asher Roth, entitled Rooftops. Or, maybe even from his most recent “Marvelous Monday” track, Letter to Myself.

        Whether you know Luke Christopher or not, this mixtape is a must download, because this time next year I am envisioning it with the “Best Mixtape of the Year” award for 2012!

          What a year for free music, right? We’ve published over 2,500 songs this year on The Kollection, all for free for you to enjoy. Many of my favorite posts this year have been the incredible mixtapes from young artists like 3LAU, Aer, Mac Miller, OnCue and more.                     You forgot Webster’s Laboratory (Chris Webby), Sorry 4 The Wait (Lil Wayne), 1993 (Cam Meekins), and Early Release (Hi-Rez)
                    All of which should be in the top ten or at least honorable mention

                      I’m really feeling the Brainbheats mixtape RMXTPE Vol. 1. It’s more of a kick back with a blunt and groove with the headphones on type mix. Needs more attention, because dude is on some next shit.
