Primary Colors [Album] – Sex Ray Vision

Well the one man dream team known as Sex Ray Vision has struck again. Having recently released Relax about a month ago, Ravi wasted no time in compiling a sweet-sounding mashup album titled Primary Colors. His production taste is apparent as he mainly focuses on creating 12 mashes that utilize electro/house instrumentals. However, the aspect that I perhaps the best thing about the album is that the sample pairings haven’t been used as much. By this I mean, you won’t find Porter Robinson’s “Language” with Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Call Me Maybe”. Nope instead, he pairs Porter with Backstreet Boys – a classic from way back when. Some personal favorites are “Stacy’s Journey”, “Lights Out”, and “Turn Up The Love”, but in totality, Sex Ray Vision creates an album that is cohesive and plentiful of sure-fire hits. So Kollect Primary Colors exclusively below and show some love to Sex Ray Vision on his Facebook and Twitter pages.

Update: Make sure you share Primary Colors via Facebook or Twitter for a chance to win a pair of SOL Republic headphones courtesy of SRV.

Call Me Greyhound – Kap Slap

Well as I mentioned yesterday, Carly Rae Jepsen has struck again. This time, Kap Slap takes her vocals and combines it with Swedish House Mafia’s new-ish track titled “Greyhound”. While “Greyhound” isn’t at the level of “Save The World” in my opinion, it has solid builds and a driving beat that Carly’s vocals go well on top of. While this is a 1v1 bootleg, there’s no denying the heavy party appeal that the track will garner. So Kollect this killer track by Kap Slap, and check out his music video included below. My only question: what is up with SHM and dogs? Oh and if you are wanting more Kap Slap, as the post image denotes, his new project “Frequent Flyer” is dropping on April 30th so be prepared.

Mashup Monday No. 47

It’s been a while since Mashup Monday has been posted, but fear not, I got another segment for you. With hits from Sex Ray Vision, The Jane Doze, The White Panda, Doug Bogan, and Bruneaux, Monday couldn’t end on a better note. Ravi from SRV is busy working on a mashup album titled “Primary Colors” set to drop on April 24th, and if this track is a display of what’s to come…I want. Jane Doze takes the increasingly popular “Call Me, Maybe” and expertly weaves it together with Porter Robinson’s “Language”. The result is a harder hitting electro pop extravaganza. White Panda is starting to release full-length tracks off of their Bambooyah! album, and their first choice was a great one. “Turn Marvin Gaye Down” was one of my personal favorites for sure. Bogan’s track is amazing with the moombah paired with “Rack City” and Bruneaux takes an interesting instrumental that I love and brings back The Macarena. So Kollect and download below…

*Update: Ego’s track is a late add because I forgot it, but it is sick as hell.

Back to the Future – Mashup Germany

Mashup Germany released his sixth mashup album yesterday, Back to the Future, featuring 20 mashups (ten new, ten previously released). This is an impressive piece of work that I’m still soaking in. There’s a ton of creative samples, combinations, and track compositions, all worth a listen and a download. Below are a few of my favorites from the album – take a listen, or just grab the whole tape!

          Breaking Spring – 5 & A Dime

Here’s a new springtime mashup from 5 & A Dime, Breaking Spring, busting out that Archie sample that I know so many artists are about to jump on. This is pop to the max, featuring Kelly Clarkson, Carly Rae Jespen, Jessie J, and Katy Perry – but ya know what, it’s catchy, energetic, and makes for a fun listen. Downloads are free, so grab this one and check out 5 & A Dime on Facebook.

Nick, Tim and the Dominos (Avicii, Nicky Romero x Jessie J) – Not Some Kid

Here’s a little one v one mashup, nothing complicated or crazy, but worth a listen. Taking the vocals from Jessie J’s Domino over Avicii and Nicky Romero’s Nictim, Nick, Tim and the Dominos is certainly catchy. Grab this and put it on your weekend playlist – downloads on the house.
