Mmm Dada (Mashup) – Alex McGhee

Here’s a new mashup artist to put on your radar, without a doubt. 3LAU just linked up to Alex McGhee, an up and coming producer that already has a few pretty amazing tracks out in the wild. His most recent, Mmm Dada is impressive. I wasn’t a fan of the first 20 seconds or so, but once the beat comes in, the track is incredible and at over seven minutes long, it’s perfect for the party scene.

Vocals include William Naraine, Jean Elan, Lazy Rich, Paul Anthony, Hollidayrain, Flo Rida, Gym Class Heros and Neon Hitch.

Dirty Diana – The Weeknd vs. Michael Jackson(JAYBeatz Mashup)

I’m sure you’re probably checking your eye sight right now, but no need, what you see is correct. A song mashing The Weeknd and Michael Jackson (RIP). Remixing/Mashing any deceased musician is always a tricky subject, and if you do it wrong, the music community will most likely shun you. JAYBeatz did it, and did it well. Pitting Abel Tesfaye against the great MJ along with some added kick and snare was a great call, and I’m disappointed I didn’t think of it first. If the idea of MJ vs. The Weeknd doesn’t get you to listen, then you probably drank too much eggnog.

    Good Feeling – Norwegian Recycling

Norwegian Recycling just dropped the download for his latest mashup, Good Feeling. I really enjoy this one because it’s so laid back; Norwegian really doesn’t try to make an ultra-club-banger type track. Instead, he opts for a simple instrumental with some well-known vocals to create a unique and interesting piece. Simple yet elegant. Take a peek at the video below and download for free.

    Breathe (Vocal Mash) – D.veloped

My wish has finally been granted. Not sure if it’s a late Christmas present or a celebratory gift for the end of the year, but D.veloped has finally released his “Breathe” (Vocal Mash). Breathe, from Skrillex’s newly released EP, has a distinctly different sound than what we are accustomed to from Skrillex yet D.veloped takes the leaked version and creates a mashup that is equally amazing. “Breathe” by itself is great, but with the vocals that D.veloped combines and allows to flow together makes the entire track more audibly pleasing than it already is. I don’t even remember the day that D.veloped let me preview this track, but my initial thought of when I first heard it still stands – this could easily be my favorite mashup of 2011. So Kollect this track and get ready for the New Year!

Anthem of Bullets (KE3F Blend) – Citizen Cope & Emancipator

Take the gritty, but still seemingly smooth [oxymoronic, yes] vocals of Clarence Greenwood [who performs as Citizen Cope] and lay them atop of gorgeous violin-filled instrumentals courtesy of the downtempo masters of Emancipator. What you get is unknown artist KE3Fs’ creation; a soothing, melodically pleasing musical treatment that should leave you feeling a bit more relaxed. In that empowering sort of way… Kollect this 1 on 1 here on the K!

United State of Pop 2011 (World Go Boom) – DJ Earworm

Here’s Earworm’s signature State of Pop mashup for 2011. I dunno – it’s not bad, as far as mashups with so many tracks go. But I thought that Mashup Germany’s Top of the Pops released a couple weeks ago did a better job. It had a lot more flow. Gotta respect the work that went into each of these though – which one do you like better? Hit me up in the comments below!

      Mashup Germany’s was better

DJ Earworm’s just sounds like one continuous sound and its very annoying in my opinion; it could have been way better. And personally I would actually buy Germany’s, I think that covered a fair amount of songs too, but on the downside they forgot a lot of the really good ones.
Overall Mashup Germany sounds better but DJ Earworm’s covered more songs.

I think the best mashup of 2011 songs has been left out- DJ Trademark definitely takes the prize:
