Styles & Complete understands that the key to R&B dubstep remixes is simplicity. I’ve been slowly becoming a fan of Frank Ocean (I’m not the biggest R&B guy), and this smooth chilled-out dubstep remix is definitely helping that cause. Even all of my Frank Ocean fan boy friends (who hate dubstep) admitted that this song is good. Support Styles & Complete on facebook for making such a good remix.

Dubstep music videos are a challenge for sure, but Delta Heavy shows that with a little time and effort you can make a dope video. Using all stop-motion, the video accentuates the song well and makes for an enjoyable video (the hungry hungry hippos part is my favorite). Addergebroed just dropped this huge drumstep track in appreciation of hitting 6,000 fans on Facebook, and what a track it is. It has a wonderful melody that matches the bass line perfectly, the drums hit hard and cut through extremely well and the breakdown is legendary. There have been very few “Do I See Color” reworks, probably because the Adventure Club original has a lot going on with its prolific vocal chops and pounding bass. Colorado’s Big Gigantic took their chances, but the result is a huge Jazz-infused interpretation with excellent saxophone melodies (courtesy of Dominic Lalli) that really characterize this as a BG track. I thought it was all a bit much at first, but I’m warming up to this ambitious effort – after all, it is AC-approved! Sound off in the comments, and grab the download here for free!

In appreciation of hitting 10,000 fans on Facebook, Spenca has released the FREE 3-track EP called Hangin’ which is made up of two massive dubstep tracks and one house/electro track. My favorite is definitely the remix of Do Right by You because of the reggae vibe that has been taken to the next level with a mean synth/bass line combination that works perfectly.

Now this is a mixtape. The Glitch Mob have graced us with thirty minutes of their heavy hitting, melodic beats mixed up with everything from LFO to La Roux to Dr. Dre. It’s a mix with different phases going from high energy sections to more mellow parts where the beat takes a slow a pulsing rhythm all combined with throbbing bass the whole way through. About time for some remixes…I posted the original King Kong track exactly a year and a week ago on the DK and just now are some remixes coming out. I can’t be mad though, since The King Kong Experiment has 9 tracks ranging from electro house, drumstep, breaks, and dubstep remixes. Ah, Kill Paris kills it again. Seriously, his ability to make sexy-smooth melodic dubstep seems effortless at this point. I still have his Lana remix on repeat, and I sense “Keep Your Secrets in Midnight City” is going to be another happy-problem for me. Thankfully, the over-used (but amazing, none-the-less) M83 sample only makes a slight appearance at the beginning and throughout this piece – what really stands out are those lustful female vocals juxtaposed with equally emotional bass over funky synth work.
