There is something about this track that really just makes me keep playing it over and over again. The beginning is a little slow and eery but as the song picks up momentum, so does the weight and melody of the bass line. The rapping flows smoothly and accents the rest of the song while not overpowering the beat. Overall a really chill piece that will definitely release that stress built up at the end of the day. So chill out, we’re all Gifted in some way or another.

OOAH (a.k.a. Of Porcelain) is another 1/3 of the Glitch Mob. This remix of Skin of the Night is very chill and a good beat to listen to when you just want to relax or are in the mood for a little light dubstep. I personally love the feel of the entire song and it will be in a TON of my playlists. This song is so versatile and can almost literally be played for any occasion. Obviously, The Glitch Mob has a huge amount of talent packed into all three of its collaborators. I can’t get enough of ‘em and I hope you can’t either. So lay back and enjoy.

Right now, I am actually in shock of how much talent I have found in the short amount of time that I’ve been Kollecting! The Glitch Report is no exception! Seth Burns (the mastermind behind this operation) runs this 2-hour radio show that plays up in northern Cali. This machine finds a lot of talent and this remix really shows just what can come from it. I’m not entirely sure how it works but one thing is for sure, this track bumps!

iONik is one of those guys that I have heard around the internet but not really known much about. As soon as I found this song though, I loved the feel and crunch it portrays from the first second to the last. This track is dope and at the same time, eerily creepy. I absolutely cant get enough of that muted guitar strum in the background. Then the bass line follows up and reminds you why you downloaded this song in the first place… Just this once, Blue Balls aren’t such a bad thing.

So here it is, an EXCLUSIVEpre-release of The MashMatician’s first full length album! But first here’s a short bio: The MashMaticians are a duo comprised of DJ Zesty and Gudda Gallin. They formed the mash up group in late 2009 to take their first venture into the world of mash ups . They look for unique and unusual mixes for their mash ups giving listeners a new way of hearing their favorite songs. The MashMaticians will be adding a third member to the group moving forward as well as doing shows with some of the biggest names in the DJ and Mash Up world.
As you can tell, these guys are obviously blowing up on the mash-up scene and I am so stoked to have this exclusive for them! Here’s a little bit about what these two have to say about there new album title: The MashoChist is the debut album for the group. The album title comes from the word “Masochist” which is someone who enjoys or derives pleasure from receiving pain or punishment. A MashoChist, therefore, is someone who enjoys mash ups, or who derives pleasure from listening to them. By flipping the switch on the word “Masochist” the album not only reflects who The MashMaticians are but also who their fans are.
This duo has been crankin’ out bangin’ mash-ups for almost a year now and show no signs of letting up. These are not the usual songs that you hear getting thoughtlessly shoved into one mish-mash of gnarly sounding pop culture… No these are something entirely different.
