Never Changed – Lonesome Ghost

If you like vibey guitar riffs and mesmerizing lyrics, than you’re going to love Lonesome Ghost. They started out as 3 childhood schoolmates: Matt Callison, Trevor Scott, and Tanner Robertson, and now the Dallas raised band is rapidly gaining popularity in the the lo-fi beach rock community. Lonesome Ghost have released a couple follow up songs from their first EP, None of These Songs are About You or Anyone You Know, including the one featured here, Never Changed. Listen/download it here and check out their Facebook, Twitter, and Bandcamp for more!

Rolling Stone – The Weeknd

I rarely listen to R&B, but mon dieu! The Weeknd is the realist dude in the game (besides Frank Ocean). If you’ve been sleeping under a rock Abel Tesfaye, better known as The Weeknd, is a Canadien R&B singer, who has been featured on tracks with Drizzy and Wiz, and in my opinion has the best voice ever. Sampling the guitar riff from Andre Nickatina’s Ayo For Yayo, Abel creates a masterpiece of a song reminiscing of his girls and his favorite recreational activities. This song isn’t new by any means, but the official music video just dropped and is definitely a jam to chill, relax, or get weird to.

Hippies is Punks – Wavves

Nathan Williams is definitely one busy dude. All while preparing to go on tour and release his collaboration project (Sweet Valley) with his brother (Joel aka Kynan), Wavves also contributed to the Adult Swim 2012 Singles Program with their song, “Hippies is Punks.” The follow up song to their most recent EP, Life Sux, is a vibey pop-punk jam and has a similar sound to the six song EP released earlier this year.

If you like this song, be sure to check out Sweet Valley’s new album Eternal Champ.

    WAVVES WAVVES WAVVES

Pourin’ Up – D!RTY AUD!O

With more and more DJs playing trap music in their sets, some, like D!RTY AUD!O, have taken the liberty of producing their own take on the genre. This song is HUGE and shows D!RTY AUD!O’s versatility in his production game. With a heavy bass-line, a ton of high hats, and a catchy hook – this jam is sure to be a festival anthem. Grab the song above and get ratchet. RUN THE TRAP!

You Are Why I Am Invisible – XXYYXX

At only 16, Marcell Everett aka XXYYXX, is experimenting with his eclectic self-made synths and sounds to produce minimalistic beats. His unique sound fuses generes like dubstep, glitch, and hip-hop all together. This talented young producer can be compared to the likes of Flying Lotus and James Blake with his downtempo beats. This song pairs a smooth beat with a jazzy piano riff to make a very chill tune. Be sure to snag XXYYXX’s self-titled album here.

There should be some rapping involved; Like OnCue on that beat and this song would be perfect

Madeon – Icarus (Fred V & Grafix Remix)

Here’s a new remix from two of my favorite drum and bass producers, Fred V & Grafix. The duo has done it again and transformed Madeon’s House banger into dnb gold. While keeping the original vibe to the song, Fred V & Grafix have turned this house melody into an incredibly uplifting tune. It’s a radio rip so ignore the speaking at the end. Turn up your subwoofers, and enjoy.
