Same Old Song (Paper Diamond Remix) – The Weeknd

I know we’ve got some Weeknd fans here at The K, and I admit I’m having to grow on Abel, but it’s remixes like this that make me truly appreciate the vocals. Paper Diamonds does a great job building a laid back, bass-heavy dubstep-inspired remix. Beautiful, without a doubt, and worth a download. Take a listen and let me know what you think!

Midnight City (Eric Prydz Remix) – M83

Here’s an awesome electro remix to get your Monday started right. A private remix by Eric Prydz for his DJ sets, this track takes on M83?s Midnight City – and it’s pretty incredible. The builds, drops, synths, and the deep bass line all come together to form a beautiful tribute to the original. I love this style, this sound, and the energy of this track. Take a listen and grab this one for free.

2020 – Sol + Video

Here’s a new track from Sol off his upcoming album, Yours Truly dropping on January 20th. I don’t know much about Sol except that it’s time to start paying attention – this kid has great flow on this amazing beat. It’s laid back yet intense, smooth and energetic. A great track paired with a crisp video. Take a peek below and download for free!

Didn’t like a lot of Sol’s early stuff, but he’s really stepping it up lately. The first verse on this song is stellar.

Move For Me (Deadmau5 & Kaskade Remix) – Sex Ray Vision

Sex Ray Vision is back on their remixing game, this time transforming Deadmau5 and Kaskade into a beautiful and captivating house track. SRV sticks to their same style, with awesome builds, great synths, and of course, beautiful vocals from the original artists. This is a great remix and definitely worth adding to your kollection – downloads on the house.

Of The Soul – Mac Miller Video

Hm, I’m not quite sure why this track got the next video from Blue Slide Park. It’s a good track, I just didn’t see this video coming. I think Mac handles the video quite well, ginger beard and all. The production is simple and artistic – I like it. Peep it below.

I don’t know why this only is getting 3 hearts. Even though I wasn’t expecting this to be the first track that he would make a music video for, I thought this was awesome. I really love this track by itself, the beat is old school and catchy and I think the lyrics were pretty good too. The music video was exactly what I expected. It was simple yet classic. I like this video a lot and can’t wait to see what else he has in store for us.

I agreed with you all the way until “I think the lyrics were pretty good too.” That is the problem with Mac Miller; his lyrics are not very good. He just rhymes words for the sake of rhyming them.

his music needs more soul, he’s got everything else.

Hipsters will always hate on anyone who becomes slightly popular. Mac is one of the biggest names in rap now and he gets sooo much hate. He’s not the greatest rapper ever, but his beats are quality and his lyrics are laid back and enjoyable. This deserves alot more than 2 1/2 hearts for sure, good song

Every Evening ft. Chiddy Bang – 2AM Club

2AM Club, in the middle of working on their sophomore album, has teamed up with Chiddy Bang on this remix of Every Evening. 2AM brings their passion and emotional vocals and Chiddy drops his own bars over the slow, laid-back instrumental. Beautiful track with a nice cameo from Chiddy – definitely worth a listen and download.
