Bittersweet Donald – The White Panda

The White Panda Mashup duo released today the full version of arguably their best mash on their fourth mixtape Bambooyah, a mix of Mac Miller’s acclaimed Donald Trump and the (also well known) Bittersweet Symphony by the Verve. A lot of mashes sound great but there are always those that are better than the originals and just seem meant to be together – this is one of them. Download above.

Mashup Monday No. 47

It’s been a while since Mashup Monday has been posted, but fear not, I got another segment for you. With hits from Sex Ray Vision, The Jane Doze, The White Panda, Doug Bogan, and Bruneaux, Monday couldn’t end on a better note. Ravi from SRV is busy working on a mashup album titled “Primary Colors” set to drop on April 24th, and if this track is a display of what’s to come…I want. Jane Doze takes the increasingly popular “Call Me, Maybe” and expertly weaves it together with Porter Robinson’s “Language”. The result is a harder hitting electro pop extravaganza. White Panda is starting to release full-length tracks off of their Bambooyah! album, and their first choice was a great one. “Turn Marvin Gaye Down” was one of my personal favorites for sure. Bogan’s track is amazing with the moombah paired with “Rack City” and Bruneaux takes an interesting instrumental that I love and brings back The Macarena. So Kollect and download below…

*Update: Ego’s track is a late add because I forgot it, but it is sick as hell.

Bambooyah! [Album] – The White Panda

Looks like I’ve come full circle. By that I mean, it’s been a full year since I got started with mashups mainly courtesy of The White Panda‘s Pandamonium, and now they drop their 4th album titled Bambooyah! The album, as a whole, listens like a continuous track with no clear stoppage signaling a new track but rather just a smooth transition into the next segment. Granted, there are a couple of segments that seemed to be slightly off but listening completely to Bambooyah! reminds me of why mashups caught my ear.

The amount of samples used is commendable, and The White Panda make sure to include a variety of new, underused, and at times surprising samples – excuse me while I celebrate reggaeton (Don Omar’s Danza Kuduro) being included in a mashup. The sample pairings, the instrumental choices, the overall vibe of Bambooyah! is what I’ve come to expect from The White Panda. Simply put, this album is solid and I recommend giving it a thorough playing. With 35 tracks, totaling 50 minutes, in White Panda’s infectious and upbeat style is certainly a great way to get your week started. Take a listen to the continuous mix above, grab the download over on their Facebook Page and have your speakers at the ready all while you’re busy yelling BAMBOOYAH!

            G.O.O.D.G.I.R.L.S. – The White Panda

Sick new mashup from The White Panda, an artist definitely not new to the Kollection. This one mixes Wale’s ‘Good Girls’ and and Dillon Francis’s ‘IDGAFOS.’ Love the vibe with this one, it flows perfectly. Check this track out, The White Panda always seem to amaze.

Mo Free Mo Fallin’ – The White Panda

Here’s a new ish for your Mashup Monday, courtesy of The White Panda! Mixing Tom Petty and Biggie, this mashup is pretty simple, but works very well. Wrap up your Monday with this mash, download for free, and enjoy!

I think this is one of WP’s better mashes. I like how everything works together; gives it a unique vibe to it for sure

Midnight Life – The White Panda

It’s been a while since I’ve heard anything from The White Panda, a mashup duo we interviewed earlier this year. To my surprise, they dropped a pretty refreshing mashup on the world just a couple days ago, Midnight Life mashing M83 and Kanye West. I wouldn’t call this a party mashup, but it’s a well produced piece of work, and the samples go perfectly together. Take a listen and download for free!
