Hard gritty sounds with elements of smoothness that bring it all together. This is just amazing. I first started following Overwerk over two years ago, and today he’s released his official track to promote the new GoPro HERO3 camera. He’s come a long way, to say the least. The video below, from GoPro, is an already wonderful edit worth watching, but paired with Overwerk’s smooth production it becomes a captivating ride across some of the world’s most beautiful terrain. OVERWERK can be a bit hit or miss for me, sometimes producing tracks that are too hard or “dirty” for my tastes. But this most recent release, Signal, is the perfect blend of melodic symphonies with a touch of glitch worked throughout the track. Taking Hyper Crush’s Werk Me Overwerk creates a great upbeat, electro house track that has that perfect dance feel (yes I refrained from the endless amount of puns I could have used… you’re welcome). It’s not as heavy as most of his previous stuff but it has a great blend of both worlds.
I can honestly say before James’s posts of OVERWERK’s track Buzzin’ ; I had never heard of OVERWERK. Props to James because I really enjoyed this track featured on the EP. Some time has passed now, and OVERWERK has just released a much anticipated EP of the incredible talent. The Nthº is hands down beautiful! Every single track is amazing. Better yet the guy, has given away the EP as a free download. Seriously, this kind of quality for free. Definitely deserves recognition from us.
