About That Life – Diplo Ft. Jahan Lennon

Mmmm, and some psych-rock returns to the scene from a very unexpected source: Diplo. With vocals from Jahan Lennon, Diplo’s latest original single offering leaks a glimpse into what will be an album filled with “psychedelic Southern gospel”. This is an interesting turn for the mega-producer, and I can’t wait to hear what he comes up with judging from this very cool release. Free download, courtesy of Mad Decent.

The video features appropriately hazy imagery and kaleidoscope effects – might as well pretend you’re back at Woodstock. Enjoy.

Climax – Usher (Prod. by Diplo)

Well, my oh my. Sorry to tease you with a no-download, but you really must hear this. Usher enlisted the help of one of my favorites to produce his latest single, and it’s beautiful. Usher still sounds undeniably silky smooth – a timeless vocal, in my opinion. What I may love even more is the subtlety found in Diplo’s production. With just the right amount of electronic tinge, the beats seem to just sizzle as they build beneath those sensual, slow-burning lines.

Listen closely. This might be the sexiest song you’ll hear all year long. And the best part? It never reaches a climax. Enjoy.

I agree Vanessa…Oh mee oh my indeed

Pick Your Poison (Figure Remix) – Datsik & Diplo

The original was already banging – Figure comes in and absolutely kills it on this remix. Ever since the release of Monsters of Drumstep vol. 2, Figure has been on the rise, touring and putting out great tracks left and right. If you’re feeling this track, check out his newly released Must Destroy, it’s crazy. If you have a chance to see this man live don’t pass it up.

Pick Your Poison (feat. Kay) – Diplo & Datsik

Wow – Datsik and Diplo on the same track!! Banger. Pick Your Poison dropped last week through Mad Decent, and should definitely be getting more exposure. It’s good to see Diplo venturing into the dubstep realm more, with previous collabs with Skrillex (Amplifire) and now the dirty Datsik. I’m really feeling this track; these two guys work well together and I’m loving the drop! If your in Chicago tomorrow hit me up at the Mad Decent Block Party.

Amplifire (Kristian Edit) – Skrillex & Diplo

Skrillex and Diplo (a pretty damn good collaboration if you ask me), have come together and to produce a dope moombahton/dubstep track that I love. Skrillex haters should be somewhat satisfied, because the signature high skrillex voice is at minimum here, and c’mon, who doesn’t like Diplo? But I wouldn’t call this song a straight up banger – it’s a pretty cool and interesting track and it’s been growing on me since I heard it a few hours ago. Both of these producers have very distinct and different styles, and it’s cool to see this sort of collaboration. Check it out below and download.

I’m extremely surprised that you haven’t posted these songs yet.
The World is Yours – Big Gigantic (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zfKHt3ONlok)
I Know the Truth – Pretty Lights (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8wCgxkQj_Qo)

Both songs are absolute BANGERS from artists who are just getting into the dubstep scene.

DJ Shadow – High Noon is first original track. wooooooooo

Danger’s Not a Stranger (Diplo Remix) – Gucci Mane

This is an older track, but Diplo just can’t disappoint in my opinion. Who knew that gritty Gucci voice would fit over Mariah Carey’s 90s beat from “Can’t Let Go”? As the track develops, the beat grows into a full-blown Diplo rework consisting of snappy synths and claps creating a much catchier, lighter version than the original. If you prefer this one too, comment below and Kollect away!
