Roll The Dice (Archie Remix) – The Cataracs

I never paid too much attention to The Cataracs, in all honesty. They definitely took off in the music world, but with a style that just didn’t align with my tastes – call me picky. But today Archie is dropping a free tune, a remix of The Catarac’s Roll The Dice. The remix flips the original house track into a big progressive tune with the smooth synths and beautiful production that we’ve all come to expect from Archie. I much prefer the remix to the original, so in my mind, this is a win for Archie & team.

    Archie is truly stepping his game up with his latest track, Kingdom, with the help of talented vocalist Brenton Mattheus. The 7-minute track ebbs and flows, rising and falling with vocal segments, soft piano chords and driving basslines. The song feels more cohesive than past tracks from Archie, which to me marks a progressive step forward in the young artist’s music career.

        I’ve been a big fan of Archie for a while, so I’m happy to see him reach 30,000 fans on Facebook – just the start, I have a feeling. As a celebration, he’s released a new track, The V, available for free as a gift to his fans. This one is definitely different than what you’re used to, if you’re a long-time Archie listener.           Archie dropped this wonderful remix to Krewella’s Alive yesterday, and it’s certainly a shakeup from what we’re used to from this Russian producer. This is a bold remix for Archie, taking on one of the bigger dubstep tracks of the year, but he holds his own and turns the already-wonderful piece into a house track that will shake walls.             Archie is back at it, this time with an original release, 5upernova. I’m excited to see Archie start to diversify his sound set a bit, going for a darker and dirtier sounding instrumental set and melody. Production, as always, is wonderful and the track is available for free!
